PERSONAL LOSS AND A RELENTLESS DRIVE TO MAKE A POSITIVE
DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS.

The Spur to Be Exceptional
Robert’s experience witnessing a loved one’s battle with depression, anxiety, and addiction deeply shaped his commitment to mental health, inspiring him to support others on their wellness journeys.
A Deeply Rooted Desire
Growing up, my family instilled in me a deep sense of service. We volunteered at local churches, food banks, and homeless shelters. These experiences shaped my understanding of community, empathy, and the transformative power of giving back. My life, even as a young child, was deeply rooted in servitude, and this spirit of helping others has remained a cornerstone of my existence.
Watching my mother, a lifelong entrepreneur in telecommunications, navigate the highs and lows of her business, taught me the value of determination, and the fulfillment that comes from entrepreneurship. She built a thriving telecommunications franchise In the early ’90s when beepers and pagers were the pinnacles of communication. Driven by her passion and vision, she maintained a sole proprietorship despite opportunities for acquisition by major players like Southwestern Bell. Her journey illuminated the impact and satisfaction that a career in entrepreneurship could offer.
My academic path further solidified my decision to dedicate my life to health and wellness. At Fordham University, where I studied business finance, I gained insights into the most impactful and emerging industries. Health and wellness stood out as a field not only vital to current societal needs but also promising for future impact. This realization, coupled with my innate desire to serve and my purpose ignited by loss, led me to a career in corporate wellness and independent personal training.
As a former D1 college athlete in American Football and Track and Field and a U.S. gold medalist in rowing, I have over 10 years of experience in personal training and nutritional coaching. I founded Be Exceptional, a company with a proven track record of success. I hold certifications from top organizations such as the National Academy of Sports Medicine and eCornell University, including titles like PES – Sports Performance Specialist, FNS – Fitness Nutrition Specialist, MMAsc – Mixed Martial Arts Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Annette Lang Pre and Post-Natal, Dragon Door SSC – Strength Calisthenics Certification, and NASM Stretching and Flexibility Coach. Additionally, I have experience as a trainer for major brands and corporate wellness programs, all of which have contributed to my expertise and dedication to helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
